Founder and Leader, Women’s Rights Team Youth Advocacy, Indian American Community Services (IACS)
Founded and currently lead the IACS Youth Advocacy Women’s Rights team of 15+ teens from across Seattle. I worked my way up from a team member for the Kiran Anjali Project to rallying the support of like-minded peers within IACS to start a Women’s Rights team.
We worked on the issue of period inequity, raising 13,000+ sanitary products and collaborating with a local organization (T2P2) to distribute them.
I work with event managers and a social media chair to keep my team's efforts organized.
Our team took several training sessions with OneLove to educate the public about healthy relationships through social media and hosting workshops.
I have earned a President’s Gold Volunteer Service Award in 2021 for my work.
